  • My favorite organic shampoo is Shea Moisture! All of them! lol I am glad you have it on the list; it makes me feel alot better! I just love that I can pronounce, read, and understand their entire list of ingredients on every bottle! There is never a question of a hidden ingredient. Best of all, unlike other natural/organic hair products, Shea Moisture is inexpensive!! very affordable for someone who is on a tight budget!! thanks for this post!!

  • thanks for the list! I think i will try 100% pure’s shampoo and conditioner next. I just bought their honey almond lotion and it is by far my favorite lotion I have ever owned.

  • Hello! Recently, my hair has become very very dry! I am mixed (black/white) with loose curly/wavy hair. Do you have any product recommendations for my hair type?

  • Hi, I’m Asian, with straight, oily hair. Recently my hair has started losing volume drastically. I’d be grateful if you could recommend a hair product for me that are not too harsh on the budget.

Hi Hafsa! Try 100% Pure Kelp & Mint Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, Acure Organics Pure Mint + Echinacea Stem Cell Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, or Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo and Conditioner.

  • I’ve been doing research on more organic stuff, and have been trying to make the switch. I have thick curly hair, and I’ve been using that Dove shampoo for a few years, it’s worked well, but I don’t particularly like the fact that it has bad stuff in it. I don’t really have a clue what what products to pick for my hair now. I want products that will work well for my hair but won’t break the bank either.

That’s great Chelsea that you’re making the switch. Start with Acure Organics for your thick curly hair or 100% Pure. Enjoy!

  • Hi. Great discussion and information here. I’ve been doing tons of research for months, and paying crazy amounts of money, just to find the right product for my hair. Like my hair, I’m fizzled :( . I have long, straight, on the thin side of hair. I don’t use products, I don’t get my hair colored. I would just like to find a nice shampoo/conditioner that could keep my hair soft, shiny, and healthy. All these volumizing shampoos make my hair dry, course and brittle. I prefer flat hair if it’s smooth and shiny. Any suggestions for a good shampoo/conditioner to use to for overall health of hair? I love my long hair and would love to make it longer and stronger. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

  • I have dry baby fine hair. I am looking for a recommendation for shampoo and conditioner (if needed)

  • Thanks for this list! I have been trying Avalon organics shampoo and conditioner which turns out not to be what I was looking for. I have wavy hair I am trying to grow out and really take care of and just want something natural! Trying not to wash as often and my ends can feel dry. Any recs? Thanks!

  • Hi there! I love this list! I have been steadily changing everything in my home to organic alternatives so it’s time for hair/beauty products. I have previously dyed hair that is growing out (red shade) and dirty blonde roots coming in. My hair is oily near the scalp, dry by the ends, and it knots SUPER easy. Do you have any recommendations???

Glad to hear Lisa! Try Acure Organics. You’ll definitely see the health of your hair change over time with the right products as well as with healthy eating and exercise habits and lots of water. Enjoy and be beautiful! xx
